Ugh...no time!

Hey all...I´m in Rio, having a great time and learning a lot, which leaves zero time for blog posts. Done in 48 hours and have three days to actually sleep in and relax a bit, and hopefully upload pictures.

Miss you all and I hope things are well!

36 hours in Santiago

So the interesting this is that there really isn't much culture shock here. It's a professional city--but like most of Latin America you can't eat lunch in under two hours. Few people speak English well, so it's been kind of nice to practice Spanish. However, unlike Guatemala or Nicaragua where food is limited, here they have full menus so I'm learning new words ;)

Apparently the MBA trips here are out of control. In little over a day, we've crossed paths with MBA's from Duke, Tennessee, N. Illinois, some school called Baulfield or something, Florida, Auburn and us.

The picture here is of our dinner on night one. Some serious free food, pisco sours, and Professor Kelm (pictured next to me) forcing me to try speaking spanish to his Chilean friend after several drinks. Its amazing how much better I was after some liquid courage!

Anywho, we were done with a lecture today at about 11am and got to work on our tan on the rooftop pool. I'm not used to staying in hotels that are this classy (we have a living room and kitchen, full breakfast on the rooftop and a nice rooftop pool as well. Here's some pictures of the madness...

Day 1: Santiago, Chile

Just thought I'd let you all know I'm alive. Today was awesome. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow hopefully...but for now I have to sleep. Check back soon!

Leaving in five hours!

Hello friends...

I'm off to the airport soon, just packing now. I've spent several hours on iTunes playlists and hope to get packing done in a half hour. It's important to prioritize before a big trip. Some of you have read my old travel blogs and you probably know of my difficulty uploading pictures and documents. I've gone back to blogger in the hopes that improvements have been made since I last used this in 2005. What I'm really saying is, I'll try to upload pics and an itinerary, but I might just not be able to figure that stuff out.

Anyway, by Sunday morning I should be in Santiago. We have many visits to Chilean and Brazilian companies, and our group gives a company presentation on Wednesday, with a lot of fun planned for in between. Can't wait to tell you all about it.

Hasta Luego!
